Yeh, highest one I have ever had was 7xx. That was about 9 days ago, didn't think to screenie it.

Most of mine have yet to break 300... too many 228's and whatnot. My personal best is a 468.

I have the feeling too, that they increased the value of gold item drops. I had several drops above 400-500 in the last few days from my Elona treasure chests and Hard mode.
